Class 2 Lighting

Class 2 Division 1 or 2 lighting is designed for areas where combustible dust is regularly present in the air under normal operating conditions in sufficient quantities to produce explosive or ignitable mixtures. These environments include grain elevators, flour mills, and chemical plants or other environments where such conditions exist.
